Two tiered Johnson Falls is secluded deep inside the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness of northern Minnesota. The only way to reach the falls is by canoe then continuing on foot along a portage trail and a spur trail through dense forest. The round trip by water and land from our base camp on Crocodile Lake totaled 18 miles. My wife, son, and I left camp and 7 am and returned completely tapped out at 6 pm, but we had one walleye to enjoy with our Camp Chow meal!
