Years ago I was photographing along the Big Thompson River in Moraine Park within Colorado’s Rocky Mountain National Park on the final evening of a family vacation. My wife was walking around with our two young children and called out to me, “You need to turn around.” When I did I saw this lone fly angler standing in the Big Thompson River facing a magnificent rainbow and curtain of rain as he patiently awaited a strike from a feeding trout.
